Services Booking and payment Delivery and revisions Cancellations and refunds Third parties Liability Governing law

These Terms govern your use of the Beyond China Guide website and travel planning services. By purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms. Beyond China Guide is based in Beijing, China.

01

Eligibility and acceptance

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into an agreement. If you purchase for a group, you confirm that you are authorized to provide the relevant information and coordinate the service for that group.

02

Our services

We provide online consultations, custom itineraries, booking guidance, and practical travel support. The scope, price, delivery timeline, support period, and included revisions are those shown on the website or confirmed with you in writing at the time of purchase.

Our role is advisory. Unless we expressly agree otherwise, we do not act as a travel agency, tour operator, immigration adviser, insurer, or booking agent, and we do not hold customer funds for third-party reservations.

03

Booking, prices, and payment

Prices are shown in USD and exclude any taxes that must be added by law. A service is confirmed after we accept your request and receive any required payment. You are responsible for ensuring that contact and travel information supplied to us is accurate.

Payments may be handled by a third-party payment provider. That provider’s terms and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction. We do not ask you to send complete card details by email or through the general inquiry form.

04

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for responding to reasonable questions, reviewing drafts promptly, and telling us about relevant dates, mobility needs, dietary requirements, budgets, and preferences. Delayed or incomplete information may affect delivery.

You remain responsible for passports, visas, entry permissions, insurance, health requirements, bookings, payments, and final travel decisions. You must independently verify names, dates, prices, cancellation terms, and official requirements before completing a reservation.

05

Delivery and revisions

Custom and Premium Plans are normally delivered within 3–5 business days after we receive a completed questionnaire and any necessary follow-up information. Delivery dates may be adjusted by agreement for complex, urgent, or longer trips.

One major revision is included. A revision may adjust pacing, replace activities, or refine the route within the original brief. Adding destinations or travel days, changing the core brief, or substantially redesigning a delivered itinerary may require a new quote.

06

Changes, cancellations, and refunds

An Online Consultation is refundable before the call takes place and non-refundable after it is completed. If you need to change a scheduled call, contact us as early as possible and we will make reasonable efforts to arrange another available time.

Custom and Premium Plan fees may be refunded before work starts. Once the first draft is delivered, planning fees are non-refundable, while revisions included in the purchased service remain available. Fees for completed work, used support periods, and separately agreed additional work are non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise.

07

Premium support

Premium text support is available during the support hours stated on the website. Message volume must remain reasonable and related to the trip covered by the purchased plan. Response times may vary with connectivity, time zones, and the nature of the request.

Premium support is not a medical, legal, translation, security, or emergency-response service. For an emergency, contact local emergency services, your insurer, and your embassy or consulate.

08

Third-party services and bookings

Airlines, hotels, ticket platforms, guides, attractions, restaurants, insurers, transport providers, apps, and payment services operate independently. Recommendations are based on information available when the plan is prepared and do not create a partnership, endorsement, or guarantee.

We do not control third-party availability, prices, schedules, changes, cancellations, refunds, safety, or performance. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, you make bookings, enter personal details, accept provider terms, and complete payments directly.

09

Travel changes and force majeure

Travel is affected by weather, transport disruption, closures, public-health measures, government action, natural events, and other circumstances outside our control. We may suggest reasonable alternatives, but we cannot guarantee that every planned element will remain available or reimburse third-party costs.

10

Intellectual property and permitted use

The website, written guides, itinerary structure, original text, graphics, and custom deliverables are owned by or licensed to Beyond China Guide. You may use a purchased itinerary for your own trip and share it with members of your travel group. You may not resell, publish, reproduce commercially, or represent our content as your own without written permission.

11

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We use reasonable care in preparing our work, but travel information changes and services are provided without a guarantee that every recommendation will suit every traveler. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or third-party losses, or for events outside our reasonable control.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to a purchased service will not exceed the amount you paid us for that service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

12

Suspension and termination

We may refuse or stop providing a service where a request is unlawful, unsafe, abusive, outside the agreed scope, or requires expertise we do not provide. If we end a paid service without cause before completing the agreed work, we will refund the unearned portion of the fee.

13

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your place of residence. We encourage you to contact us first so that concerns can be resolved in good faith. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to a court with competent jurisdiction in Beijing, China.

14

Updates and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect when you purchase a service applies to that purchase. Questions may be sent to hello@beyond-china-guide.com.
